This Organic coffee with a medium/dark roast is from El Dorado, Honduras, and grown on family-owned farm called Los Quetzales - after the quetzal birds that visit the farm. Pedro Sagastume began farming coffee here 30 years ago, and today his children carry on the legacy by farming high quality, specialty coffee. For this, they use their own micro-mill to process the cherries. They also partner with an exporting company, Beneficio San Vicente, which gives them access to improved agricultural practices, and increased earnings from sales. The name, La Lenca, comes from the indigenous people who still inhabit this beautiful region of Central America.
