Nicaraguan coffee has become famous for its medium body, clean flavor, and good balance. This coffee in particular though is bright with citrus and floral notes to add a bit of complexity to the cup. Nicaragua is well-known for small-scale, family-owned farms that take pride in producing high-quality beans. This coffee is Super High Grown (SHG) meaning it comes from high altitudes and undergoes European Preparation (EP) meaning that it is meticulously sorted to ensure that only the finest beans ship to our roaster. Koda and I were forced to rush through most of Nicaragua because of the current political unrest, but we found the people to be friendly, the country beautiful, and the coffee excellent.
